You can also open PM Jan Dhan Aushadhi Kendra, you will get government help up to Rs 2 lakh.

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PMJAK) scheme, also known as the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), aims to provide quality generic medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special stores known as Jan Aushadhi Kendras.

Key Features:

Government Support:

  • Financial Assistance: The government provides financial assistance of up to ₹2 lakh to individuals or organizations for setting up a Jan Aushadhi Kendra. This assistance includes:
    • Reimbursement: Up to ₹1 lakh for furniture and fixtures.
    • One-time Grant: Up to ₹50,000 for computer and internet expenses.
    • Additional Incentives: Special incentives of up to ₹50,000 based on sales performance​ (PIB)​.

Eligibility:

  • Individuals: Any individual entrepreneur, pharmacist, doctor, or NGO can apply.
  • Institutions: Charitable organizations, NGOs, private hospitals, and government agencies can also set up Jan Aushadhi Kendras​ (Oliveboard)​.

Application Process:

  1. Submission: Interested parties can apply through the official PMBJP website or by contacting the Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India (BPPI).
  2. Documentation: Required documents include identity proof, address proof, qualification proof (for pharmacists), and a blueprint of the proposed site for the Kendra​ (Oliveboard)​​ (PIB)​.
